Professional Learning for Creative Futures

Start with shared understanding, build towards informed choices.

AI can be a polarizing—and intimidating—topic for educators, especially those whose work centers on creativity and human expression. Questions about authorship, student learning, environmental impacts, and professional identity deserve space for thoughtful discussion.

Through our work with students, educators, and creative practitioners, we’ve developed approaches that invite people to learn, exchange perspectives, and develop practical responses together. Our professional learning brings these conversations into schools, creative organizations, and community settings.

The first step is alignment.

Before choosing tools or writing policies about AI, it helps to understand where people stand.

Our alignment tools make different perspectives visible. Participants consider specific uses of AI, place them on a chart, and discuss the reasoning behind their choices. The activity creates room for curiosity, disagreement, and reflection—and helps identify shared priorities and questions worth exploring.

Alignment doesn’t require everyone to agree. It gives a group a clearer starting point for deciding what comes next.

Our Workshops:

AI Literacy for Educators

Build a practical understanding of how AI works, what it can and cannot do, and how to evaluate its outputs. Develop language and frameworks for answering students’ questions and making informed instructional choices.

Teaching AI: Creativity, Ethics & Agency

Explore ways to teach about AI while preserving students’ ability to question, choose, and create. Topics include authorship, bias, privacy, environmental impacts, media literacy, and the value of human creative work.

AI and the Creative Process

Examine AI’s role in writing, filmmaking, visual media, and storytelling through discussion and hands-on exploration. Consider where it might support a creative goal, where it introduces problems, and when another approach serves the work better.

From Conversation to Practice

Turn your team’s questions and priorities into practical next steps: standards-aligned classroom activities, shared expectations, responsible-use guidelines, or a professional learning plan grounded in your community’s values.

Learning that connects to your work

Sessions can take the form of an introductory workshop, a facilitated team conversation, or a series with support during implementation. We tailor examples and activities to participants’ experience, learning goals, and concerns.

Participants leave with a clearer understanding of the issues, resources to continue learning, and a concrete next step they can use in their setting.
