Human Made transforms downtown San Diego into an open-air gallery of large-scale projection mapping celebrating the enduring human impulse to imagine, create, and shape the world around us. Through an open call, designers, artists, architects, students, studios, and creative technologists will be invited to submit original 15-second works exploring the theme of Human Made. Selected works will be curated into a series of looping projections across civic and cultural landmarks, creating a walkable evening exhibition during Design Week.
From typography and illustration to motion, architecture, AI, industrial design, fashion, and immersive media, the exhibition celebrates the extraordinary breadth of San Diego’s creative community.
By turning the city itself into a canvas, Human Made makes exceptional design accessible to everyone and invites the public to experience downtown as a living gallery after dark.
